Riders will enter the Pine Creek Rail Trail at the Ansonia Access Area, where you can either head north, towards the Wellsboro Junction or south, through the Canyon Gorge.

What is Pedal Assist?

Pedal assistance (PAS) on an electric bike provides motor support while you pedal. Higher PAS levels increase motor assistance, while lower levels reduce it. This allows riders to tailer their experience based on riding style and battery life preferences.

Ansonia – Turkey Path (4.6 miles)

As you approach the double bridges, you will arrive at the Leonard Harrison Turkey Path. The Pine Creek Rail Trail connects seamlessly to the Turkey Path, taking you from the depths of the canyon to the stunning overlooks at Leonard Harrison State Park. Famous for its impressive waterfalls, primarily found along the bottom of the trail on Four Mile Run. The falls are particularly magnificent in early spring although a must-visit destination from March through November.

The trail is considered moderate and is 2.1 miles in length including the out-and-back portion. The trail has an elevation gain of 685 feet. At certain points, there are stairs to help navigate the steep sections therefore appropriate hiking footwear is necessary. There are bike racks available at the bottom of the Turkey Path. .The trail is pet-friendly but dogs must be on a leash. On average, it takes about 1 and a 1/2 to 2 hours to complete the hike.

Ansonia – Tiadaghton (8.9 miles)

TRAVELING NORTH ALONG THE MARSH

Ansonia – Cavanaugh (3.9 miles)

This area’s ecological features include extensive wetlands along Marsh Creek, fed by Canada Run. There is a gravel parking area, a picnic table, and a walking path created along the edge of the wetland leading to Marsh Creek. The best way to observe birds in the Cavanaugh Area is to follow the nature trail and watch for them moving between the fields, along the edge of the wetland, or in the hedgerow.

Make sure to pack your camera: the Cavanaugh Nature Trail is a stunning spectacle, alive with vibrant colors and a dazzling array of wildflowers just waiting to be captured!

Ansonia – Butler Rd/Northern Terminus (7.7 miles)

This section of the trail occasionally runs alongside March Creek and winds through a broad valley filled with diverse wetlands. It’s an excellent location for observing waterfowl, and the local Audubon Society has reported sightings of over 150 different bird species.

Pag-Omar Farms is situated at the Butler Road access area and is one of the most popular farmers’ markets in the area. This market is well-known for its local delicatessen, which offers a wide variety of deli meats and cheeses, along with delicious made-to-order subs, homemade salads, and soups. Pag-Omar also serves a selection of Hershey’s tasty hand dipped ice cream throughout the year.
