The Pine Creek Rail Trail

Hours of Use: Open to public 1/2 hour before sunrise and 1/2 hour after sunset. Overnight parking is available in designated areas and requires a permit.

Camping: Permits are available at the Tioga District Office at One Nessmuk Lane, Wellsboro, PA 16901, (570) 724-2868 or email fd16@state.pa.us. Camping in designated areas only.

Motorized Vehicles: Motorized vehicles are prohibited on the entire 62+ mile trail except for emergency, administrative and maintenance.

Private Lands: Trail users must respect the rights and privacy of adjoining private property owners at all times. Please do not leave the trail or right-of-way along private property except at clearly designated and marked points.

Road Crossings: Trail users must come to a complete stop and look both ways at all public road crossings.

Horses: Horseback riding and horse-drawn wagons (with special authorization) are allowed to use the Equestrian trail path beside the hiking/biking path. Horses are not permitted on the new trail surfaces except at turn around points. Hikers/bikers need to be cautious and use courtesy to allow the horseback riders to pass undisturbed. The horseback trailhead is along Marsh Creek Road near the junction of US 6 and PA 362 at Ansonia.

Dogs: Dogs must be kept on a leash and kept to the right of the trail. Leashes should not exceed six (6) feet in length.

Alcoholic Beverages: Prohibited on trail, parking lots and campgrounds.

Firearms: Firearms may not be discharged from trail, parking lots or campgrounds.

Bridges: Fishing, jumping, diving, climbing on trail bridges prohibited.
